We were a little hesitant when we heard Showtime was doing a version of the hit British show "Shameless" but we were pleasantly surprised on how good the U.S. version, starring Emmy Rosum and William H. Macy, turned out. We saw the original British version on netflix and have to say the U.S. version is just as good.
The series is about follows the dysfunctional family the Gallagher's who is left to fend for themselves because their father Frank, played by Macy, is a drunk. Emmy Rosum plays the older sister and care taker of the six kids which includes "Lip" who is a slacker-genius, and Ian, who is fifteen, gay and banging his boss at the grocery store where he works.
The first season was great and we cannot wait until Sunday, January 8th, 2012 for the premiere of season 2 of the Showtime hit. If you have not seen the show, you have some time before the premiere. Let the countdown begin.
