With all the talk of marriage equality and the passing of legalizing same sex marriage in New York City; it was only time that the issue would reach Sesame Street. For years many have suspected that Sesame Street's Bert and Ernie were a gay couple on the DL. Now a newly created Facebook page "Bert and Ernie to get Married" is gaining lots of support.
They have been living together for years without visits for any female Muppets. Despite, what Sesame Street representative say, we really don't know what were Jim Henson's original intentions when he developed these muppets. As we know Jim Henson was a supporter of the LGBT community.
We say support Gay Muppet Love!!! Marriage equality for all!
