Governor 'Deval Patrick' of Massachusetts signed a groundbreaking bill that will treat the transgender community as a protected class. According to Colorlines, The bill will legally protect transgender from discrimination in housing, education, employment, credit, as well as providing additional rights and protections from hate crimes.
We applaud the Governor and the State of Massachusetts for a bill that protects the transgender community, and becoming the 16th State that have made it a priority to treat transgender individuals as equals.
