MUSIC FIX | @KellyRowland Likes Her #KissesDownLow

Video After The Jump

Kelly Rowland is making a lot of people "arch their backs" right about several seconds into her newest video for her newly released song "Kisses Down Low". I haven't seen great cinematography like this for a while. Paired of with great vocal sounds, beauty, fashion, wigs and make up!!

Oral Lash - #DharunRavi Contrite #Apology To The Public

"I accept responsibility for and regret my thoughtless, insensitive, immature, stupid and childish choices that I made on Sept. 19, 2010, and Sept. 21, 2010," Ravi said in his statement. "My behavior and actions, which at no time were motivated by hate, bigotry, prejudice or desire to hurt, humiliate or embarrass anyone, were nonetheless the wrong choices and decisions. I apologize to everyone affected by those choices."                             -Cited from Huffingtonpost.com Article

Where is the President on this?? Or Dan Savage?? Or all these other "anti-gay bullying" supporters that rallied after Tyler Clementi jumped off the George Washington Bridge!? What kind of lawyer would release a 'contrite' apology like that to the public! It should've been directed to the Clementi family, frist! And 'publicly'! They should've given Dharun Ravi 3 years in jail and 1,000 hours of community service!!

Music Fix - #30Something Is The New 50???

Video After The Jump

So, I stumbled across this video yesterday and held it on pause in one of my many tabs I had open in my Chrome browser. I was interested in viewing it, really, I was. 7 hours later, I clicked play and wanted to shoot myself. Not because this was a well made video. But because it hits home! OMG! Not that I am some dead beat like most of the people portrayed in the video. Though very close to home when you are starting to feel you life passing you by day by day, second by second and it starts to feel meaningless...

ORALTASTIC - WAZU Brings Their Electro-Rock Sound To Bowery Electric

Video After The Jump

WAZU, Brooklyn-based duo from Australia, have been receiving a lot of much deserved buzz lately for their "synth-heavy, post-apocalyptic pop" industrial sound. If Depeche Mode and Siouxsie and the Banshees (two of our favorite bands) had a child; WAZU could be their offspring.  When we listened to  their single Murder 1, it reminded us of the late 80's-90's alternative bands Henry and I use to dance around our living room to when we were roommates.

The duo will be rocking the stage next month at Bowery Electric in New York City on Friday, March 9th at 9pm. The show is a must see here at the Oral Fix, so mark your calendars; You can thank us later.  Check out WAZU's video for Murder 1. For more information on the duo and to purchase their music; visit their website: www.wazuband.com

Tech Fix - 'Internet Addiction' & @Apple Tackles FoxConn Factories @Cnet

The internet gets compared to cocaine use, solar flexible panels get a spiffy buzz, and Apple gets bullied to do something about FoxConn's 'evil' work ethics! Cnet's 'Loaded' never disappoints! Tune-in!

ORALTASTIC Fix - @ActiveChild Live Cover Eurythmics 'Sweet Dreams'

Video After The Jump

I've been a fan of 'Active Child' since I found them while lurking for music on Soundcloud.com. Pat Grossi's falsettos and harp playing accompanied by mesmorizing syntherzing landscapes entrapped my soul and mind. Well, I guess really my fingers! They were uncontrollably 'entrapped'! I couldn't help but to keep clicking on all available 'free' tracks on the band's Soundcloud.com profile.

Active Child is very popular for making their music available for downloading, 'free'. I guess they believe that its good marketing practice to make some selects of their work free in hopes to entice fans to buy their music in the future. Which has been a prove 'profitable' strategy by other musicians such as 'Radio Head'.

I admit, this marketing strategy has worked on me successfuly! LOL! I have become fans of bands like 'M83', 'The Sounds Of Arrows', and 'Lovers' and purchased their music because I downloaded their free content.

#DragRace Fix - Get Your Engines Ready!!! RuPaul's Drag Race S.4 Premiere's Tonight!

Movie Fix - 'No Se Lo Digas A Nadie' (Don't Tell Anyone)

Movie After The Jump

This movie is a Spanish comedy/drama of a boy to Peruvian man from Lima who comes to grips with sexual identity and life on life's terms. This is the story of 'Joaquin', a very typical story of most Gay men. I'm sure you will be able to identify. At least, with the stuff lurking in depths of his Joaquin's soul. The surface stuff... his well to do(wealthy) parents; Macho/ignorant father and his stylish/religious mother. Joaquin's mother is to die for! A role model for all closeted young people! :-)

#DragRace Fix - @HeddaLettuceNYC "Reads" @RuPaulsDragRace S. 4 Contestants

Video After The Jump

God Bless You!! You made our guts hurt tonite! We laughed so hard! Good thing you're not a blonde! Mizz Ru would've stalked you for the shade you threw at her girls! You know Ru Paul don't like blondes! Yup, watch season 4 ya'll and watch all the blonde wig girls get sent home...

Enjoy! :^)

Underwear Fix - @AndrewChristian New Year's Video Feat. "Unzip Me"

Video After The Jump

We will refrain to comment on this video... its left us a bit 'Dickmatized'...

Movie Fix - @Tilda_Swinton To Play 'Auntie Mame'

Video After The Jump

When I saw Auntie Mame years ago, I fell in love with the movie and the divine Rosalind Russell. The movie is about a young orphan boy sent to live with his free spirited, vivacious, and impeccably dressed aunt called Mame. The movie is filled with camp and fabululosity. It's like, if Patsy from 'Ab Fab' had to raise a child in the 50's.

I came across an article in Out Magazine stating that Tilda Swinton will playing the iconic character Auntie Mame. Tilda might not be my first choice, but she is a great actress and eccentric in her real life, so I will keep an open mind. The role has been played by the great Lucille Ball and Angela Lansbury, but Rosalind Russell is by far the best in my opinion.
