Diva Fix - Madonna To Team Up With "M.I.A" & "Nicki Minaj" At Super Bowl

In a earlier post, we mentioned Madonna was rumored to perform at next years Super Bowl on February 5, 2012. We can now confirm that Madonna will not only be performing, but she will also be performing with East Indian Thug Star 'M.I.A' and Pop-Thuggie Rapper Sensation "Nicki Minaj". The fabulous threesome will be performing Madonna's new song "Give Me All Your Love".

We are a little confused by the pairing, but we are also intrigued. Was it Madonna's idea?? Hmm... We know Madonna will give an amazing performance and having 'Nicki' and 'M.I.A' should make for one awesome half time show. We cannot wait!

As we've promised in our latest podcast on episode #019, a full feature on the band called “AlunaGeorge” is here! Since they appeared on our blog with their first video "We Are Chosen", we had to know who they were and what was happening behind the scenes.

They also caused a stir in clicks and popularity on our blog. Bouncing up and down from 4th to 3rd place in our “Popular Posts of The Week”.  For a total of 3 weeks. Oral Fix would’ve placed them at number one immediately. But our readers preferred a “Very Naked Carmen Carrera” photos by Austin Young, for a several weeks. But Carmen don’t have anything on AlunaGeorge, you know.

TV Fix - 'Precious' Director Lee Daniels To Create LGBT Series

Lee Daniels is creating a new series for the Showtime cable channel. The series will center around the disenfranchised multicultural transgender youth of the "Ballroom" subculture in New York City. If you have seen the "Paris Burning" then you know this will be fun to watch. Kudos to Showtime for continuing to back shows for the LGBT community. They brought "Queer as Folk" to America and gave us both "The L Word" and "The Real L World".

We hope Logo TV is taking note and will be bring us some quality programming. We love the Rupaul Drag Race and Drag U, but they have not produce anything else as good and for some reason continue to play the show "16 and Pregnant".

Showtime, we look forward to the new series!!!

TV Fix - Who Has The Most Gay Characters on TV?

According to the annual report by The Gay and Lesbian Against Defamation Fox is the most inclusive network with 7% of the GBLT population represented in scripted series. This may come as surprise to many since Fox News and the head honcho Rupert Murdoch are extremely conservative. Overall, 2.9% of regualr characters this 2011-12 season are gay. This is down from last years 3.9%; however, it's way better than where we were 4 years ago.

TV Fix - HBO Goes All Out To Promote The Series 'Boardwalk Empire' In New York CIty

HBO is planning to transport us back to the 1920's by running vintage trains on the 2 and 3 lines for all the weekends in September to promote the hit series Boardwalk Empire. You can catch the trains in New York City on Saturdays and Sundays from 12p.m to 6 p.m.-- it will make stops at 42nd, 72nd, & 96th Street. The show is definitely worth every cent of  HBO is shelling out.
