We came across the this article over at The Huffington Post and was in complete shock. After a gay teen took his life due to be tormented by students at his high school, Tennessee lawmakers are trying to make it legal for them to speak out against homosexuality if that's what their religion believes. Since when is the United States of America a sovereign nation run by the 'church'???
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but harassing someone which leads them to take their own life is not cool, no matter who you pray too. This law will give these cowards who bully something to use a defense. We need to rally together so this law does not pass in Tennessee and other States around the country.
To quote from one our favorite movies To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar, "Approval neither desired nor required." We need to know that people are not going to accept us, but there are folks that will, and taking one's life is not the answer.
